Yalumba Winery

The Yalumba Wine Room was once Yalumba's brandy bond store and captures the spirit and heritage of our winery.

On a visit to our tasting room, our Yalumba Wine Room ambassadors will guide you through our wines and introduce you to our story. During the week you may even be able to see the cooperage in action and experience the fragrant sweet spice of our handmade barrels. The landscaped grounds framed by the Wine Room and the historic Clocktower are the perfect spot to explore before throwing a picnic rug down and enjoying the Barossa’s warm afternoon sun.

We offer an impressive variety of wine styles from a handful of unique growing regions of South Australia. Taste the Barossa with our old vine Shiraz and Grenache or explore the great Australian blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz. Experience the heady delights of Viognier, Yalumba’s flagship white wine. Above all else, try something from our collection that you haven’t tasted before; who knows, you might just discover a new favourite.

Experience a mini-masterclass that showcases six of Yalumba’s finest award-winning wines.

Hosted by a Yalumba Ambassador, this relaxed yet informative tasting will allow guests to delve into the diversity of the Barossa whilst learning about the history and success of Yalumba, the Hill-Smith family, the Barossa and our wines.

The Yalumba Unlocked experience begins in our architecturally designed Wine Room with a short history of Yalumba’s Hill-Smith family. Guests will then enjoy a private tour of the grounds, historic buildings, the unique Yalumba Cooperage and iconic Signature Cellar along with the unique Tank 11 & 12. The tour culminates in tasting of Yalumba’s finest wines in the stunning Wine Room, hosted by a Yalumba Ambassador whilst sharing a Cooper’s Platter of local artisanal produce.

BAROSSA GRENACHE DISCOVERY

This tour and tasting is a fascinating introduction to Barossa Grenache and Yalumba’s collection of award-winning and unique expressions of this unique variety.

The experience begins in the historic Yalumba Wine Room where your host will provide an overview of the history of the wines of this iconic South Australian wine family.

From here, guests will visit Yalumba’s Carriage Block Vineyard in Moppa before continuing on to the Yalumba Nursery Block in the sub-region of Vine Vale. This vineyard is home to Block 2, Vine Vale, Old Bush Vine and the historic Tri-Centenary Grenache vineyards. Guests will enjoy a tasting amongst the vines for a truly unique experience to understand the process from bud to glass.

The tour concludes with a generous Cooper’s Platter of locally produced artisanal treats paired with your favourite glass of Grenache.

Yalumba The Signature tour is a journey into the history, symbolism and provenance of one of Australia’s most iconic wines.

This in-depth experience begins at the historic Yalumba Wine Room where your host will provide an introduction to the story of Yalumba The Signature Cabernet Sauvignon & Shiraz and an explanation of the sentiment it holds for the people of Yalumba.

Guests are escorted to the Signature Vineyard at Lights Pass, home to the Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes are grown for The Signature. Enjoy spectacular views over the Barossa Valley as while experiencing a tasting amongst the vineyard.

Upon returning to Yalumba, your experience continues with a private tasting of current release of The Signature and a Museum Release before a tour through the Hill-Smith family’s private museum cellar.

Round off a captivating morning with lunch prepared by a local chef, paired with Yalumba’s Rare and Fine collection in one of Yalumba’s iconic dining spaces.
