Honig began as a small garage winery in 1964 and today has became a successful family business.
The Honig Family are leaders on sustainability both in the vineyards and in the winery. A lot of the electricity used in the winemaking process is derived from solar energy. One of their many sustainable farming practices along with the use of bees. Healthy bees are also a sign of a thriving eco-system.
Believing that the best wines are made in the vineyards the production is focused in two varietals such as Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon Blanc, their staff will update you with the history of the valley and the winery. You'll go through the Honig tasting flight while enjoying gorgeous views of vineyards and the Mayacama Mountain Range.

Eco-Tour and Tasting Experience
What better way to learn about environmentally friendly practices than with a guided tour through our sustainably farmed Rutherford vineyard? Our Eco-Tour & Tasting begins in the Honig tasting room where you will sample our classic Sauvignon blanc. We will then board our 6-passenger cart which will transport you into the vineyard, where you’ll see first-hand the things we do to care for the environment while producing world-class wines - from managing water use, to providing wildlife habitat, to our role in the restoration of the Rutherford Reach of the Napa River (and of course, the Honig bees!)
Once we have completed the vineyard tour, relax and enjoy a tasting of our current release wines.
Offered Daily at 10:00 am - From March thru October - Weather permitting
