About Jordan Wine Estate
Founded in 1982 by Ted and Sheelagh Jordan; their son Gary, a geologist, and his wife Kathy, an economist, have made the wines since 1993. Tastings are seated under trees overlooking the dam or on the terrace facing the Stellenbosch mountains; vineyard tours at 10:00 and 14:00 and cellar tours at 11:00 and 15:00 need booking. The Cellar Door serves an all-day menu at cellar prices and the Jordan Restaurant with Marthinus Ferreira is one of the region's serious lunches.

Book ahead. About 45 minutes from the Waterfront via the N2 (30 minutes from the airport); the Helshoogte Pass estates add another 15 minutes.
