About this winery

A magnificent building that is full of history, the Port House of Sandeman has been used for more than two centuries to age the world’s most recognized Porto wines inside hundreds of wooden casks and vats.

Situated next to the river in Vila Nova de Gaia, the House of Sandeman boasts one of the best views over Porto, a city classified as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

Sandeman also operates a Co-Branded restaurant called The George in Porto, as well as a Hostel and Hotel Suite facility called The House of Sandeman.
