Taylor's is an Iconic name for port wines, with 325 years of history, an independent company in which some family members play a leading role in all areas of the winery's activity.
Taylor’s is also respected as a producer of wood aged ports and holds one of the largest reserves of rare cask aged wines from which its distinguished aged tawny Ports are drawn. The house is also known as the originator of Late Bottled Vintage, a style which Taylor Fladgate Port House pioneered and of which it remains the leading producer.
Taylor Fladgate, now in its fourth century, recently renovated its 300 year old Cellars to incorporate a modern and innovative museum circuit. The story of Port wine and Taylor Fladgate is now told through an extensive audio-guided visit, available in twelve languages, which will take you on a vivid tour of the Lodge that includes an array of films, images, exhibits, photographs and paintings.
