Bolgheri in two days, Super Tuscan country is worth the pilgrimage

Just back from Bolgheri and I'm still thinking about it. Two days was enough to fall for it but not enough to see it all.

What worked:
- Base in Castagneto Carducci, not on the coast, quieter, cheaper, and you're minutes from the famous cypress avenue.
- Book the marquee estates WEEKS ahead. The big names run tight, appointment-only tastings and fill fast in season.
- Balance them with a small producer, we did one legendary name in the morning and a tiny family cantina in the afternoon, and the second was the one we talked about at dinner.
- Lunch on the coast at Marina di Castagneto, seafood + a coastal Vermentino resets you for the afternoon.

What I'd do differently: add a third day for Val di Cornia next door. Anyone done both in one trip?

Adding this to the list. Did you find the big estates flexible on group size, or is it strictly couples/small? Planning for four.

@Diego most took up to 4-6 with notice, but confirm when you book, a couple capped it smaller for the premium tastings. Book those first.
