About Champagne Taittinger
Taittinger is one of the few remaining grande marque Champagne houses still owned and run by the family whose name it bears. Based in Reims, it is known for an elegant, Chardonnay-forward style.
The house tours descend into ancient chalk cellars, part of a former monastery, some of which date to Roman times, making a visit as much a journey through history as a tasting.
The Wines
The house style is refined and Chardonnay-forward. Its flagship prestige cuvee, Comtes de Champagne, is a sought-after Blanc de Blancs made only in the best years, alongside the widely enjoyed Brut Reserve.
Visiting
Taittinger offers cellar tours and tastings in Reims. Booking ahead is recommended, especially in peak season.
