About Domaine Willamette

A sparkling-only house from Willamette Valley Vineyards founders Jim and Jan Bernau, making methode traditionnelle wines from estate Pinot Noir and Chardonnay farmed biodynamically, right on 99W between Dundee and Dayton. Chef Zach Clark's menu pairs with the bubbles, a 90-minute VIP walking tour covers the cellar and gardens, and there is a sabering class. Open Wednesday to Sunday (11 to 5 midweek, 11 to 6 Friday to Sunday); reservations encouraged, walk-ins welcome for parties up to six; leashed dogs outdoors, children welcome in the tasting room.

Visitors single out sparkling flights, sabering class, gardens over the dundee hills. The wines to look for are Pinot Noir, Chardonnay.

Visiting

Book ahead. About 50 minutes from downtown; the Newberg-Dundee Bypass (Highway 18) skips the worst of 99W, but traffic still bottlenecks where 99W drops from four lanes to two south of Dundee.
