A 100 percent estate-grown winery whose owner, a retired Army colonel, personally tours guests through the barrel room; its wines have won medals at the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition.
Visitors single out owner-led barrel tours, live music, estate-grown wines. The estate dates from 2009.

Book ahead. About 70 to 90 miles and 80 minutes to just over two hours from downtown Atlanta on I-575 and GA-515, depending on whether the destination is Ellijay or the mountain town of Blue Ridge, 16 miles further north.
