Giuaani, in the village of Manavi near Sagarejo, is a family winery with guest rooms and a pool that runs sommelier-led tastings for both day-trippers and overnight guests, an easy first stop on the road out of Tbilisi toward the rest of Kakheti.

Book ahead. About ninety minutes to two hours east of Tbilisi, through Sagarejo toward Telavi, Kvareli and Sighnaghi.
