About this winery

Perched on the volcanic basalt slopes of the Badacsony hill above Lake Balaton, Laposa Estate is one of Hungary's most beautiful wine destinations. Ábrahám Laposa produces mineral-driven whites — particularly Olaszrizling and Szürkebarát (Pinot Gris) — that express the distinctive volcanic terroir of this UNESCO-recognised landscape. The winery's outdoor terrace and wine bar, with sweeping views over Lake Balaton and the surrounding hills, make this one of the most spectacular places to taste wine anywhere in Central Europe. The wines are as memorable as the setting.
