About this winery

Mazza Vineyards, nestled along the shores of Lake Erie, is the Mazza family’s flagship location; where their 50+ years of winemaking and craft beverage-producing legacy began. The winery was founded and built in 1972 by brothers Robert and Frank Mazza in a rustic, Mediterranean style serving as a tribute to the family’s Italian roots, and continues to be run today by Robert Mazza and his son, Mario Mazza. This family-run winery has grown to become one of Pennsylvania’s largest-producing wineries.

Starting with our first vintage in 1973, we put just as much care, thought, and precision into selecting our winemakers as we do into choosing our grapes, no matter how far we need to look. Mazza draws inspiration, experience, and technique from a lineage of international winemakers hailing from Germany, Portugal, Argentina, and beyond, each with a trademark style, experience, and inspiration.

The Mazza Vineyards portfolio of wines is a showcase of a clean, experimental New World approach to winemaking, developed, evolved, and very nearly perfected over a half-century, resulting in a fascinating wine list that ranges from crisp and pristine to robust and fruit-forward. Nearly every vintage features our signature Ice Wine of Vidal Blanc, showcasing our family’s legacy of trailblazing winemaking and the distinct effects of Lake Erie’s cold climate.
