Simpsons Wine Estate farms two vineyards in the Elham Valley on the North Downs, the Roman Road and Railway Hill, and offers a tutored tasting through the week or a weekend visit into the Roman Road vineyard and winery. It is one of the smaller, quieter estates in this guide, with far fewer reviews than its Kent neighbours.

Visiting
Book ahead. Forty-five minutes to Squerryes near the M25 at Westerham, but up to an hour and forty minutes to Gusbourne and Simpsons on the Kent coast and Elham Valley; most of Kent wine country is an hour to an hour and a quarter from central London.
