About Viñedos Santo Domingo
Santo Domingo has grown Malbec on ash-enriched soil below Popocatépetl in Atlixco since 2008, and only opened its doors to public tastings in 2023. The guided cata walks the vineyard and cellar before a seated tasting of its rosado and sparkling rosado, currently run as a small, appointment-only operation best suited to a group.
Visitors single out ash-enriched terroir, cellar tours, sunset views. The wines to look for are Malbec. The estate dates from 2008.

Appointment only. About 2 to 2.5 hours from Mexico City, roughly 130 to 150 kilometers via the Puebla-Atlixcáyotl or Huejotzingo-Nealtican roads depending on the vineyard.
