Wehweck is a third-generation family winery in Schriesheim, founded in 1955 and now run by winemaker Philipp Wehweck, seven kilometers north of Heidelberg on the Badische Bergstrasse. It is rated 4.
Visitors single out traditional food, terrace seating, friendly welcome. The wines to look for are Muller-Thurgau, Riesling, Weissburgunder, Grauburgunder, Gewurztraminer. The estate dates from 1955.
Visiting
Walk-ins most days; book on weekends. Schriesheim is about fifteen minutes north of Heidelberg by car and Weinheim about twenty five, the closest wine country to the city.
