Founded in 1868, Mayschoß-Altenahr describes itself on its own site as the oldest wine cooperative in the world, and it remains the anchor of the valley with a large tasting counter and outdoor seating. It is the easiest place to compare a wide range of Ahr Spätburgunder and Frühburgunder in one stop.
