About Champagne J.M. Gobillard & Fils
The Gobillard family caveau sits on the church square in Hautvillers, a minute from the abbey church, and farms about 25 hectares, mostly Premier Cru Hautvillers. The tasting lounge and terrace serve flights of the range with a production film, in English or French, and the house is open daily 10am to 12:30pm and 2pm to 5:30pm in summer (June to September), Friday to Sunday in spring and autumn, Saturdays only in January and February. Pair it with a walk to the abbey and lunch at Au 36 across the village.
Visitors single out abbey village setting, terrace lounge, english spoken. The wines to look for are Pinot Noir, Meunier, Chardonnay.
