A chateau with a walled park in the middle of Chablis, on land the Long-Depaquit family bought from the Cistercian abbey of Pontigny after the Revolution and owned by Maison Albert Bichot since 1968. The estate holds 9 hectares of Grand Cru including the Moutonne monopole, and tastings of the Grands Crus in the old cellars run Monday to Friday 9am to 12:30pm and 2pm to 5:30pm, Saturday from 10am. Reviewers mention the rose garden and grounds as much as the wines.

Walk-ins most days; book on weekends. Honest 2 hours from central Paris to Chablis on the A6 (about 180 km), a little more on Friday afternoons; Prehy is 10 minutes south of the town.
