About this winery

Domaine Paterianakis was one of Crete's organic pioneers, farming without synthetic chemicals since Giorgos Paterianakis founded it in 1988 at Melesses, high in the Peza zone. The third generation, sisters Emmanuela and Niki, run it now, and the whole vineyard is certified organic.

The range leans on native grapes, with Vidiano and Kotsifali at the centre alongside Mandilari, Liatiko, Vilana and Thrapsathiri. Tastings walk you through the organic farming as much as the wines.
