About Durbanville Hills

Founded in 1998 as a joint venture between Distell and seven local growers (now nine member farms within 10 km of the cellar), 20 minutes from the city centre, with the tasting terrace looking straight at Table Mountain and Table Bay. Tastings come plain or paired with chocolate, cheese or biltong, there is a children's playground, and Tangram restaurant has the sunset view. Mondays from 12:00, otherwise 11:00 to 17:00 (16:30 weekends).

Visitors single out table mountain sunset views, biltong and chocolate pairings, playground for kids. The estate dates from 1998.

Visiting

Walk-ins welcome. About 25 to 30 minutes from the Waterfront via the N1 and M13; the closest alternative to Constantia and quieter on weekends.
