About Il Pianzio
Four generations of one family in a quiet valley above Galzignano Terme, with a new tasting room where owner Nicola walks guests through Serprino (the local name for Glera, made frizzante), Fior d'Arancio and the Cabernet-based Jenio. Tastings come with bread, meats and cheese; the cellar is open Tuesday to Saturday and the first two Sunday mornings of the month, visits by appointment.
Visitors single out owner-led tastings, serprino frizzante, bread cheese and salumi. The wines to look for are Glera (Serprino), Moscato Giallo, Cabernet Sauvignon.
