About La Maison Penet
The Penet family works single vineyards in the Grand Cru villages of Verzy and Verzenay and receives visitors in a 19th-century property with vaulted cellars. The house makes low-dosage champagnes across three ranges (Alexandre Penet, Penet-Chardonnet Grand Cru and Ex Ante), and visits combine a vineyard walk, cellar tour and a guided tasting of several cuvees. Open Monday to Friday 10am to 5pm and Saturday 11am to 4pm; book ahead from May to October.
Visitors single out grand cru single vineyards, vineyard walk, five-wine tastings. The wines to look for are Pinot Noir, Chardonnay.
