Merebashvili's Marani is a family winery in the town of Kaspi built around Kartli's own indigenous grapes, Goruli Mtsvane and Shavkapito, tasted with Georgian cheese in a small tasting house on the family's own street.
Visitors single out indigenous grape varieties, family-hosted tastings, cheese pairings. The wines to look for are Goruli Mtsvane, Shavkapito.
Visiting
Book ahead. About forty to fifty minutes west of Tbilisi, past Mtskheta and into the Mukhrani valley.
