About Quinta do Piloto
A family-run estate in Palmela, founded by the Cardoso family in the early 20th century, farming around 50 hectares of vines. Visitors are taken through the old cellar and taste a range that includes Moscatel Roxo, a rarer pink-skinned Moscatel most wineries in the region do not pour.

Book ahead. The Azeitão wineries are 30 to 40 minutes from central Lisbon over the Ponte 25 de Abril, with Palmela another 10 to 15 minutes further southeast.
