About Tsinandali Estate
Tsinandali Estate was the nineteenth-century home of Prince Alexander Chavchavadze, whose 1841 Saperavi is considered the first bottled wine made in Georgia. The grounds hold a wine museum, the historic cellar and a concert venue, alongside a modern winery, restaurant and hotel.
Visitors single out historic estate garden, wine museum, first bottled georgian wine. The wines to look for are Rkatsiteli, Saperavi, Mtsvane. The estate dates from 1841.
Visiting
Walk-ins welcome. About ninety minutes to two hours east of Tbilisi, through Sagarejo toward Telavi, Kvareli and Sighnaghi.
