About Bodegas Itsasmendi
The serious end of Bizkaia txakoli, in Gernika inside the Urdaibai Biosphere Reserve: Itsasmendi 7 was the first aged txakoli in the DO and Urezti is a late-harvest wine from dried Hondarrabi Zuri Zerratie grapes. Experiences run 2 to 3 hours with published prices (37 to 57 euros) and group minimums, including a blend-your-own-wine workshop; visits Monday to Saturday.

Visiting
Reservation required. The Txorierri wineries (Lezama, Zamudio, Larrabetzu) are 15 to 20 minutes from downtown Bilbao and a few minutes from the airport; Bakio is about 35 to 40 minutes on the coast road and Gernika/Muxika about 40 to 45 minutes.
