About Château Pradeaux
Château Pradeaux is one of the most traditional estates in Bandol, run by the Portalis family at Saint-Cyr-sur-Mer on the western edge of the appellation. Mourvèdre is treated as the king grape here, and the reds are aged long in old wood in a style that rewards patience.
The cellar is open for sales and tastings Monday to Friday, mornings and afternoons, with Saturdays by reservation; guided visits cost 15 EUR a person and are booked ahead. Le Castellet is about fifteen minutes inland.
