About Gañeta Txakolina

A fourth-generation family estate above Getaria: grandfather Manuel made txakoli in the 19th century, the modern bodega was built in 1992, and siblings Paula and Enaitz Ostolaza took over in 2021. Vines are 85 percent Hondarrabi Zuri and 15 percent Hondarrabi Beltza, picked in early October, for a white, a rose and the lees-aged Berezia. Guided visits and picnic experiences among the vines, with the tasting served alongside pintxos.

Visitors single out ocean-view tasting, young fourth-generation hosts, vineyard picnics. The wines to look for are Hondarrabi Zuri, Hondarrabi Beltza. The estate dates from 1992.
