About Klein Constantia

The 146-hectare estate at the very end of Klein Constantia Road, part of the original 1685 Constantia farm and home of Vin de Constance, the revived sweet Muscat that Europe's courts drank in the 18th century. Tasting room open 10:00 to 17:00 daily including public holidays (tastings end an hour before close); booking is recommended for weekends and walk-ins are taken on availability. The premium experience adds a cellar walk and a vertical of three Vin de Constance vintages. No pets.

Visitors single out vin de constance vertical, mountain-foot setting, unhurried tastings. The wines to look for are Sauvignon Blanc, Muscat de Frontignan. The estate dates from 1685.

Visiting

Book ahead. About 25 minutes from the V&A Waterfront on the M3; the estates sit within the city limits on the back of Table Mountain.
