About Pieropan
Vignaioli since 1880 and the reference name for single-vineyard Soave (Calvarino, La Rocca), Pieropan now welcomes visitors at a new winery building on the edge of Soave that reviewers call the most impressive they have toured. Guided tours run on set days; visitors who turn up between tours have still been offered a tasting at the counter.
Visitors single out new winery architecture, single-vineyard soave, knowledgeable guides. The wines to look for are Garganega, Trebbiano di Soave. The estate dates from 1880.
Visiting
Walk-ins most days; book on weekends. Honest 1 hour 30 to 1 hour 45 minutes from Venice to San Pietro in Cariano on the A4; Soave is about 1 hour 10 minutes.
