About Plou & Fils

A family that has farmed vines in Charge, on the Loire bank 5 km upstream of Amboise, since 1508, now 23 generations in and working 102 hectares. Visitors get a free self-guided vineyard walk of about 45 minutes, a short guided tour of the troglodyte caves (about 20 minutes) and a guided tasting of white, rose, red and sparkling Touraine wines in the new chai. Direct-sale prices and a young family member usually behind the counter.

Visitors single out since 1508, free vineyard walk, direct-sale prices. The wines to look for are Chenin Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Franc, Cot. The estate dates from 1508.
