Located on the stunning west coast of Waiheke Island, New Zealand, Cable Bay Vineyards grew from a vision to hand-craft outstanding wines from the highest quality fruit, grown in small lot vineyards. Our first vineyard was planted in 1998 with Chardonnay and Bordeaux varieties – we now grow more than 10 different varieties and have received numerous awards confirming our dedication to producing expressive New Zealand wines, known for their subtlety, elegance and depth.
Our stunning venue includes the elegant, Dining Room with a menu offering fresh, vibrant and beautifully plated dishes which showcase seasonal produce from our organic kitchen gardens. The Verandah restaurant’s casual and contemporary setting offers a Mediterranean-inspired menu of sharing plates. The venue includes a working winery, cellar door for wine tasting, private event rooms, and the beloved grass lawn with breath-taking sea views. Bean bags and outdoor seating provide the perfect spot to stretch out and relax.

A fascinating behind-the-scenes tour of the wine-making process at Cable Bay Vineyards. You’ll begin your guided tour in the vines, move on to the inner sanctum of the winery, visit the barrel rooms to soak in the rich oak aroma, move on to the luxurious wine library and finish at the Cellar Door for a well deserved drop. Enjoy tasting four Cable Bay current releases as your knowledgeable host talks you through each wine and answers any questions you may have.
