Willi Bründlmayer is the undisputed star of the Kamptal, an elegant and thoughtful producer whose wines are found on the lists of many of the world's best restaurants. The estate in Langenlois — Austria's largest wine town — farms over 80 hectares of Grüner Veltliner and Riesling on the region's distinctive loess and crystalline rock soils. Bründlmayer also produces exceptional sparkling wines using traditional Champagne methods, among the finest in Central Europe. The tasting room is beautiful and the visit is typically one of the highlights of any Austrian wine tour.
