About Txomin Etxaniz
The reference name in Getaria: San Sebastian Turismo calls it one of the oldest producing wineries in the area, with family ties to vines here recorded back to 1649. Tours run Monday to Saturday at 11 am, last 90 minutes and cost 22 euros, ending with several txakolis tasted alongside Getaria anchovies and white tuna; the vineyards sit on the slopes above the harbour with the sea below.
Visitors single out sea-view vineyards, anchovy and tuna pairing, historic family name. The wines to look for are Hondarrabi Zuri, Hondarrabi Beltza.
