Cobenzl is one of Vienna's municipally run wine estates, set high on the Cobenzl hill above the city with vineyard views over central Vienna and the Danube, guided tours, tastings and a restaurant.
Visitors single out hilltop views, sustainable focus, guided tours. The wines to look for are Gruner Veltliner, Wiener Gemischter Satz, Pinot Noir.
Visiting
Walk-ins welcome. 15 to 25 minutes from the center by car, tram or bus, since these estates sit inside Vienna's own city limits in Grinzing, Nussdorf, Stammersdorf and Mauer.
