About this winery

Douloufakis sits in Dafnes, the Liatiko heartland southwest of Heraklion, and has made wine since 1930. Third-generation winemaker Nikos Douloufakis, trained in Alba in Piedmont, is one of the people most responsible for the revival of Vidiano, and his single-vineyard "Aspros Lagos" bottling is treated as a benchmark for the grape.

The cellar also works Liatiko, Kotsifali, Mandilari, Vilana and Muscat of Spina, and takes visitors for guided tours and tastings by appointment.
